365 Sherpas becomes part of Bully Pulpit International – Hirschen Group becomes BPI’s exclusive creative partner in continental Europe
The Hirschen Group, the “Home of the Brave” among agency groups, co-founded the corporate affairs consultancy 365 Sherpas together with Cornelius Winter in 2013.
What began back then as a small public affairs consultancy has, over the past twelve years, grown into one of Germany’s most distinguished corporate affairs consultancies: from a handful of colleagues to a team of over 50, with offices in Berlin, Brussels, Hamburg, and Cologne – and recognised in 2025 as Communications Consultancy of the Year.
This development is emblematic of the Hirschen Group’s entrepreneurial model: found, build, grow together – and accompany companies into their next stage of development.
Now 365 Sherpas is taking the next step: the consultancy is joining Bully Pulpit International (BPI), a rapidly growing international consultancy for strategic communications, public affairs, and campaigns, headquartered in Washington, D.C.
For the Hirschen Group, this step is not a classic exit, but rather part of a successful entrepreneurial development model: 365 Sherpas becomes part of a transatlantic platform for politicized markets – and in doing so, significantly expands its reach and scope for impact.
At the same time, the collaboration remains close: BPI and the Hirschen Group are entering into an exclusive strategic partnership to more closely integrate creative excellence and strategic consulting in the Central European market.
Built together – and taking the next step together
Founder and Chairman Bernd Heusinger: “The Hirschen Group has always seen itself as the entrepreneurial platform among agency groups. 365 Sherpas is an outstanding example of this: co-founded, consistently built up, and developed into a leading player. Now comes the next step, which is not a farewell but the next stage of development: the Sherpas are expanding their reach to a transatlantic level – and we remain closely by their side as a creative partner.”
Continuity of collaboration
Cornelius Winter, founder of 365 Sherpas and shareholder of the Hirschen Group: “I am very grateful to the Hirschen Group for the joint development of the past years – both as the founder of Sherpas and as a shareholder. The fact that we can now take this next step on a transatlantic level is due in large part to the support of the Hirschen Group and our sister agencies. This collaboration remains a central component of our work – and will be further strengthened within the new model.”
A strategic alliance with great international potential
CEO Andrew Bleeker: “Germany is becoming a central anchor for us – not only because of its economic weight, but because the defining political and regulatory questions of the next decade will be shaped in Berlin and Brussels just as much as in Washington. That is why, in addition to the merger with 365 Sherpas, we are also looking forward to working with the Hirschen Group, which will complement our work creatively and digitally.”
